As a grant recipient, you are required to acknowledge IMLS and MBLC in your announcements, printed materials, and at public events.

Examples

Guidelines for activities supported by IMLS

  • PUBLIC EVENTS: At programs or public gatherings related to your award, acknowledge IMLS verbally. Display the logo on signage at events.
  • PRESS EVENTS: Acknowledge IMLS orally during all news media interviews, including radio, television and press conferences.
  • PRINTED MATERIALS: Acknowledge IMLS with a credit line and logo. The logo should be legible and no smaller than 1.75” wide.
  • WEBSITES: Acknowledge IMLS on your website with a credit line and logo.
  • SOCIAL MEDIA: Use #IMLSGrant when posting on social media.

Virtual Programming and Curbside Kits

Virtual Programs
Virtual programs are public events. If you are holding a virtual program, someone should say "This (program/service) is made possible through ARPA funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.'" It needs to be stated orally, not written.

Curbside Kits
Curbside kits should include a label on the bags with "This (program/service) is made possible through ARPA funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services as administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners."
